A Trip To Milan Mela

Hi πŸ˜€

Firstly let me explain to all those who doesnt know what Milan Mela means. Mela means a Fair and Milan means kind of a meet-greet amongst people. So basically its a fair where people from nearby places comeover to sell their handcrafted works.

I went there last Sunday (sorry for this late upload though :p ) with my parents. I am no photographer but I just like clicking pictures sometimes and thought I’d take my camera with me so that I can share it here as well. I love this fair a lot. It happens once every year. Plus you get to see soo many talented people and so many things that you didnt even know existed! I saw a woman making jewellery out of fish scale!! I mean…who could have thought that?! However the sad part is that these artists are underrated. As I too fall into this field of art I can understand and feel how much hardwork they put into their work. And when it isnt appreciated as much as it should be..Its really sad and frustrating. However there are buyers in the fair who adore these stuff. I always feel like I should buy that and that and THAT!! I always get soo overwhelmed :p and end up bankrupted. I even got a candyfloss at the end but sadly forgot to take a picture of it because I was too happy and couldnt wait to finish it :p Come on! Candyfloss is like a taste of your childhood and fairs are incomplete without a candyfloss shop.

I hope you enjoy through the photos I could manage to get. I wish all of you come and actually visit it πŸ˜€ I am sure everyone will love it πŸ™‚

A passage full of hand carved wooden furniture and decor.

Show pieces made out of shells.

Earring made out of rice grains.

India is always famous for its handcrafted works. Arent these just amazing and beautiful? I wish I could take picture of every shop πŸ™‚ Though I hope you enjoyed this virtual trip to Milan Mela. πŸ˜€
